Joy is one of the esteemed speakers from the Estate Planning industry. She represents Precepts Group International that has done more than 12,000 Wills. She is passionate about helping her clients to ensure all loopholes in their estate planning are covered to ensure minimal or no conflicts between family members, and one’s assets are protected for beneficiaries. She also helps families to create family banks as part of their family legacy.

She started doing estate planning in 2012 when her close friend’s brother passed away after he signed his ROM certificate, he left without a Will and 25% of his assets went to his father who left the family when he was young. This left her late close friend’s mother experiencing anguish and frustration as she felt her ex-spouse does not deserve his estate. Joy was then convinced that this is a crucial part of planning and she wants to help as many clients to avoid this situation.

She then took up the course on estate planning with Rockwills Institute Pte Ltd’s Association Estate Planning Practitioner (AEPP®) Certification Programme in 2012. This accreditation is awarded by the Society of Will Writers & Estate Planning Practitioners of the UK and Estate Planning Practitioners Limited (EPPL). From 2012 till now, she has been helping more than 200 clients and families in this aspect of estate planning. Being a strong believer in estate planning, she also educates the public on this topic by giving talks in various organisations such as National Library Board, Subordinate Court, Community Clubs, HSBC, Keppel Land etc and even invited to speak and share this with Financial Advisers in the Financial Planning Industry.
